Continuing to Praise God’s Kingdom

Our Purpose

“The Hearts of Joy are on a journey inwards to facilitate a ministry for our own active adults (ages 50 and above); a journey outward to conduct ministry for other active adults; and a journey forward to ensure a ministry on behalf of adults.” We collaborate with other ministries at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church to conduct several activities that address the mission and vision of the church.

Our Programs

  • Worship

    Monthly meetings including devotion, praise, food, and fellowship

  • Evangelism

    Our evangelical projects include:

    • Birthday Bags project (reaching out to shut-ins and homebound members)

    • Card Ministry (reaching out to our adults facing adversity and trying times)

    • Homebound Ministering and Visits

  • Discipleship

    Each monthly meeting includes a guest speakers, presentations by members, audio-visual presentations, and group discussions that allow us to grow in discipleship.

  • Mission and Service

    • Food drives for local Food Pantry

    • Collection drives for various outreach projects.
