My parents loved us, supported us and we knew it...it’s easier to talk to people we don’t know about Jesus, it seems, than it is to talk to our own family ... this girl walked in dressed to the nines-A real pretty girl! .... I’d heard of the 'Roman Road' and I’d heard of the 'Yellow Brick Road'...“I don’t need a chaplain”... I was balling like a baby! ... my dad got a second chance ....

This trip is loaded! Just a few of the activities to choose from are rock climbing, rappelling, ropes & paintball. Our topic of discussion is...What is a Christian....really?
We have church buildings all over the community. You may even have Christian stuff filling up your closet, mp3 & calendar. There may even be a Christian label stuck on your car. But do those things make someone a Christian? What fills your life & makes it truly different from the world’s way of living?
$70 total cost - $35 deposit due by May 7. Only 25 spaces. 6th - 12th grade students. Don't wait to register!

We’re excited about the project in Guatemala City. We have the opportunity to help with construction projects needed at area churches and the seminary in which we will be staying. There is also the opportunity to participate in vacation bible school at a local daycare. Each night we have an exciting praise and worship time with several local congregations joining in.
Our goal is to be able to raise funds through projects & donations to bring the cost per person down to a maximum of $1300.
This price includes all of the above items plus:
--Round trip air fare from RDU
--Building materials
--Community events & evangelism

June 14-19, 2010 in Charleston, SC
At MFuge, roll up your sleeves and get ready to jump into ministry. The FUGE staffers take care of the details. You can invest all your time and energy in a variety of mission projects; Children’s Ministry, Games & Recreation, Social Ministry, Creative Ministry or Painting, Construction and Yardwork. During the day, you’ll be challenged and stretched as individuals. In the evenings, you have time to hang out with our group over dinner, worship, fellowships and Group Devotions.

The cost is $180, plus money for dinner on free day and meals on the way down and back. There are items for sale at MFuge, the usual camp paraphernalia for which you may want to bring cash. It’s a large time….a great week! Don’t miss this one.
$90 deposit is due by January 27, 2010 & is non-refundable after February 1st.
The STOMP Band, The Smelley Shepherds, is rockin' the place! Since starting in August, we've been worshipping in great numbers & with great volume. It's a time of worship for students 6th through 12th grade. Student-lead and Christ-focused, the Smelley Shepherds start things off with awesome worship music followed by a message, usually delivered by Joe Monk, Youth Pastor here at FVBC. And very often there are games. And those games can get messy and crazy! It's casual and it's open to all who will come. Invite all your friends!
